Golf Country Club Dress Code & Style Etiquette


The following dress policy has been adopted by the Board of Directors and is intended to ensure that all members, their families, and guests enjoy the Club’s facilities and services in a pleasant atmosphere. Compliance with the dress code policy by family members and guests is the responsibility of the member.

Attire prohibited in the Clubhouse and Golf Facilities include tee shirts, undershirts, athletic/sweatshirts, sweatpants, cargo pants or shorts, sweat suits, cutoffs, running shorts, short shorts, and halter tops. Gentleman's hats, caps or other headwear must be worn with the brim facing forward and are prohibited from being worn in the Clubhouse. If you have any questions, please call the Club in advance for clarification.

Golf Course and Practice Facilities

Traditional golf attire is required at all times. This consists of a collared shirt (tucked in) and golf pants/shorts for men. Women are asked to dress similarly with sleeved or sleeveless blouses or shirts with or without collars. Women’s shirts/blouses tailored to be tucked in must be tucked in; shirts/blouses tailored to be untucked may be left out. Golfers may also wear sweaters, Ozaukee Golf Shop or similar style pullovers, windshirts, jackets, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks, and mock neck t-shirts. Denim and cargo shorts are not allowed at any time on the golf facilities.

Clubhouse

Ozaukee's dress code is "country club casual". In general, any clothing that is permitted on the course is appropriate for the clubhouse. In addition, any appropriate shorts, pants or denim in good condition; Men’s shirts must have sleeves and a collar; sweaters, mock neck and turtleneck shirts are also acceptable. Women’s tops can be tailored shirts, blouses or dressy casual shirts. Shirts tailored to be tucked in must be tucked in (including dress shirts, golf shirts and polos); shirts tailored to be untucked may be left out. Men should remove ball caps, hats and visors when inside the clubhouse.

Pool

Proper swimming attire is required in and around the swimming pool, pool locker rooms and adjoining hallways. Attire should be befitting of the family-friendly atmosphere provided at Ozaukee. It is permissible to wear certain items of clothing in and around the swimming pool areas that are otherwise prohibited in the Clubhouse, including terrycloth cover-ups, tee shirts, and athletic/sweat shorts, shirts or pants.
